Friday, October 20, 2017 was a busy day for Chaney’s Champions as the organization donated over 200 Chaney Bears to three Triangle area law enforcement agencies.
At 3:00 pm on October 20, 2017, Chaney’s Champions donated 95 Chaney Bears to the Durham County Sheriff’s Office and 25 Chaney Bears to the Hillsborough Police Department. Later that afternoon, Chaney’s Champions donated an additional 95 Chaney Bears to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, bringing the total donations to 215 bears.
Since December 2016, Chaney’s Champions has donated 315 Chaney Bears to local law enforcement agencies, through generous financial donation from its supporters. Chaney’s Champions first donation event was with Apex Police Department in December 2016.

Chaney’s Champions is a 501C3 nonprofit established in memory of Chaney James Corcoran. Its mission is to encourage random acts of kindness and to pay kindness forward through the donation of teddy bears, which are used to comfort children in need.
